Anand Padmanabhan received his BE degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai, India in 2000, his MS and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Iowa in 2003 and 2006 respectively. Anand is currently working as a senior research scientist in CIGI and the CyberGIS Center for Advanced Digitial and Spatial Studies where he manages the research program. His primary research interests include cyberGIS, high performance and distributed computing, and multi-agent systems. He has developed a number of tools and algorithms to enable cyberinfrastructure environments. He is a staff member of the Open Science Grid (OSG), actively contributing to OSG security team.
